I rarely use this word, but I feel it is fitting for this particular story - wholesome.

Usually I feel accomplised or satisfied after completing a good drama. But, for the first time I am not ready to bid farewell to YuTu and JingJing. I am so attached to them right now. 

I have been a part of their years that I want to see what's next for them.

The drama opened with 30 year old YuTu contemplating leaving his dream job to take on a more financially stable path for the sake of his family. 

He was overwhelmed by guilt and started to feel insecure of his position in society. He was torn and defeated.

When YuTu handed in his resignation, his superior told him to take time off and make his decision after the long break.

During this period, YuTu started to play online games and that is how he was connected to Qiao JingJing.

Qiao JingJing is a successful actress. Back when they were schoolmates, JingJing has always liked YuTu - the smart handsome guy in her class. She approached him but was rejected. 

10 years later, JingJing found her chance once more to YuTu.

The beauty of this drama is that, both YuTu and JingJing are ordinary people with extraordinary dreams. 

This drama pushed the boundaries and put to rest the norm of social expectation of women should stay home and men must earn more.

Not only that, they also showcased a healthy supportive relationship between parent and child. YuTu's mother in particular said he should live his life for himself and not worry about them. She also told JingJing to work and not worry about YuTu, he can take care of himself.

Hearing that line from a mother figure is comforting and a relieve.

YuTu isn't your cliche romantic male lead who surprises her with fancy gifts and flowers. He is not the overprotective You Cannot Get Hurt guy. He isn't jealous of her success. He sees her as an equal and allows her to shine.

Qiao JingJing isn't your typical female lead who is submissive or is the "perfect housewife". Instead, YuTu is the one who does most of the housework. JingJing is focused on her own life and career. She is away 11 months of the year. She isn't one to put her own life on hold for a man.

Both of them are horrible at cooking. I am extremely happy for this. Finally! Something they are not good at!

More importantly, they both survived a relationship where they only see each other a few days a year.

Instead of focusing on everything that can go wrong, they emphasised on everything that goes right.

The amount of patience, support, understanding, love and respect they showed one another formed the foundation to their strong relationship.

On top of everything else, they are in a relationship that does not require apologies.
